Job Description

What You'd Do

This full-time position will manage the delivery of library programs and services to older adult communities, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing and memory care facilities throughout metro Denver. The LPA will select which communities and facilities to serve. The LPA will ground the programs and services in research and best practices and will align them with the library's mission and values.

This LPA will report to the library's Administrator of Older Adult Services and will work closely with the library's Mobile Services team.

The LPA will forge connections with staff in these facilities and communities to deliver and facilitate all types of classes and events -- including health and wellness, creative aging, technology and information, and memory-friendly engagement. The LPA will provide experiences for residents that are designed to promote healthy and creative aging and combat social isolation.

The LPA will work with other library departments and staff to essentially bring the library to residents in these communities and facilities. The LPA will connect staff at neighborhood branches with the facilities and communities in their service areas.

This is a limited term, grant-funded position from the Denver Regional Council of Governments. The LPA will be responsible for all reporting requirements under the grant.
