Job Summary
Under the direction of the Head of Children/Teen Services, the Children’s Library Assistant performs duties relevant to daily operations of the Children’s Library. The Children’s Library Assistant will be responsible for checking materials in/out, answering phones, directing patrons to sources of information, issuing new library cards, maintaining confidential patron records, shelving returned items, collecting fines and fees, maintaining the organization and appearance of library collections, processing new acquisitions, implementing programs for the children and teens (occasionally off-site), and other duties as assigned.
