Job Description
You are the planning prodigy for inspirational children’s services, dedicated to meeting the literacy needs of young children and their families. Under supervision of the Youth Services Supervisor, you ensure our youngest patrons develop their literacy skills for a lifetime of learning and growing. You create a welcoming environment where children and their caregivers may engage more fully in library resources in order to meet their literary and creative potential.
As a member of the library’s Youth Services team you are primarily responsible for patrons aged birth to 11. On occasion, you provide teen and family programs in collaboration with the Youth Services Supervisor and Teen Guide.
You develop regular written communications with warmth and accuracy to promote the benefits of the library to the children, parents, grandparents, caregivers, and educators of our community.
