The Lavenia McCoy Public Library, Bayfield, Colorado, is searching for an Assistant Director responsible for daily operations including collection development and some administrative duties. MLS preferred. Position details: 40 hours per week Evenings /Weekends : Some evenings and weekends required. Screening will begin January 31, open until filled. Preferred Education: Master’s in Library Science Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Library Experience: 3 years required; 5 years preferred Professional Experience: 3 years preferred Supervisory Experience: 2 years preferred Salary: $35,000 to $49,000 Benefits: Medical, Vacation, paid Holidays, extensive continuing education & tuition benefits. Job Description/Duties: Working with the library director and staff, the assistant director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, including collection management, technology upgrades, management of the automated circulation system, scheduling, information services, and other administrative duties.
