The Library Assistant 1 is primarily responsible for maintaining an orderly and welcoming library space, including shelving and maintenance of library materials, shelf reading, creating bulletin boards and displays, and creating website and social media posts.  She/he also has circulation and customer service responsibilities.  For a complete job description, visit swlplibrarydistrict.org.

Fort Lewis Mesa Public Library serves the rural, southwestern area of La Plata County.  The library is a dynamic community gathering place, hosting after-school activities for children, along with providing interesting and engaging adult services.  Hesperus is located approximately 12 miles from Durango, CO.
