About the Role
As a district-wide youth services expert, you will design and implement engaging programs across multiple branches, collaborate with branch and district teams, provide advisory support to patrons, and partner with schools and community organizations. Your work will champion inclusive, innovative services that adapt to the evolving needs of families while contributing to long-term strategic goals for youth engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Share knowledge through professional conferences, networking, and publications

Mentorship and Liaison Work

  • Mentor paraprofessional staff and branch Youth Reference Librarians to expand skills and services
  • Serve as a youth services liaison for assigned branches
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to colleagues across the district

What You Will Bring

Alignment to ALD Core Values: Dedication to collaboration, equity, and innovation in all aspects of service

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to learn new technologies
