Two paid internships are available. 10 hours/week, total stipend $2600. Internships will take place between February and June 2026.
The West Warwick Public Library is in search of two interns to work in the Youth Services Department as part of the LEARN365 grant program in collaboration with the West Warwick School Department. This person should enjoy working with youth and families, be flexible and forward-thinking, and be a self-starter.
Duties

Run weekly programming to enhance the math and/or reading skills of West Warwick Public School students

Collaborate with the Youth Department staff to create and advertise math and reading programs as directed by the Youth Services librarians

Assist youth and families with technology

Help set up and break down programs

Help plan and assess programs

Other duties as assigned on the grant project and related endeavors
Skills & Qualifications

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Enjoy being creative and exploring new ideas

Provide excellent customer service

Excellent knowledge of computers and technology

Experience working with children and teens

Teaching knowledge is a plus

Excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible are a must

School or library experience is a plus
Education Level: High School diploma or equivalent and some college required. Additional education or experience is a plus.
