Rogers Free Library seeks to fill two temporary Public Library Tutor positions. These positions will provide one-on-one academic support to students in grades 7-12 of various educational levels, specifically in math/Science or ELA, and will work under the direct supervision of the Rogers Free Library’s Learn 365 Grant Coordinator.
The positions are needed for 4 days after school: 2 hours each day, Monday - Thursday, with a total minimum of 4 hours per week per tutor. The specific days of the week for each subject matter (Math/Science or ELA) is TBD. The pay rate is $40.00 per hour. These positions are contracted to start as soon as practicable through June 2026.
Tasks of position include:
● Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions.
● Assist students with homework, test preparation, and study skills.
● Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
● Maintain a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
● Track student progress and provide regular updates.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor of Education or related field preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years of tutoring experience.
● Strong knowledge in core subjects (specifically Math, Science, and/or ELA).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work with diverse age groups and learning abilities.
● Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
