Job Description
Central Wyoming College seeks a collaborative, innovative, and service-oriented Online Learning & Outreach Librarian to join a dynamic, team-based library environment. Library staff contribute across functional areas, including instruction, outreach, and resource management.
This position focuses on three primary areas:
1. Online learning and instructional integration
2. Outreach and engagement
3. Electronic resource support and assessment
The Online Learning & Outreach Librarian will work closely with faculty, students, and staff across multiple campuses to expand access to library services, integrate resources into courses, and improve the visibility and effectiveness of electronic collections. This role also contributes to maintaining and improving access to the library’s electronic resources by supporting systems, troubleshooting access issues, and using data to inform decisions about collections and services.

The Community
Central Wyoming College is located in Riverton, Wyoming just 3 hours from Yellowstone and Jackson WY. CWC is small with an average FTE of 1,500 students. We have multiple outreach locations situated as close as 20 minutes to 3 hours away - outreach locations include (Lander, WY; Jackson,WY; Wind River Reservation, WY; Dubois, WY; and Thermopolis, WY.) Our library team currently consists of 2 full time positions a Library Director and Librarian, we also have another position that covers ILL and our Test Center.
Some may say why Wyoming, I say why not. Riverton sits within reach of some of the best camping, hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing spots in Wyoming. Riverton is just over the mountain from Jackson Hole and Pindale ski areas. Elementary schools are small if you have children - most classes have less than 20 students. There is snow in this region of Wyoming, but we would be classified as a high dessert so it is managable snow levels (as someone who moved from the Central Valley of California I can say it has been manageable). Wyoming is also considered very windy, but again I will say that it comes in pockets and is not constant like other areas of Wyoming.
Our school is small, but forward thinking. We have 2 BAS programs on campus, Organizational Management and Leadership as well as Early Childhood Education. Unlike many rural towns, Riverton has an airport that flies to Denver daily. There is a lot going for this little community and we are looking for an attentive, enthusiastic, and driven librarian to join the team.
