ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to Department Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs essential duties relevant to the daily operations of the Information Commons with a focus on Interlibrary Loan services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Manage all Interlibrary Loan requests primarily through OCLC’s WorldShare.
• Provide exemplary customer service to the NEIT community and front desk support.
• Assist in maintaining the physical collection including checking items in/out, reshelving, and other projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The Information Commons (IC) is not your prototypical “library space.” We strive to consistently refine workflows in the pursuit of high customer satisfaction and efficiency. We embrace change and leverage technology wherever possible. The IC Assistant will work with one full-time library staff member (the director) and 5-6 student IC Assistants.

There is flexibility in scheduled hours as this is a part-time role with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Saturday and evening availability is preferred, but not required.
Maximum of 20 hours per week. $25 per hour.
