Job Description
Role: Collaborates with staff and the public to identify, create, promote, conclude, and assess events and programs, and coordinates that process.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
30% - PROGRAM IDENTIFICATION AND DEVELOPMENT – Identifies and develops program initiatives by using surveys, market analysis, community and library data to build current and relevant programming and events that support the strategic plan. E
20% - PROGRAM ASSESSMENT – Analyzes program initiatives by working with librarians, management, community organizations, and public to improve current and future programming, events and learning opportunities; reports event results to management by evaluating, tracking and measuring programs and events in order to identify successes and areas of growth. E
20% - COLLABORATION - Models and coaches the process of developing programs by collaborating and consulting with staff; demonstrates a professional, positive, cooperative, team-oriented working relationship with staff and co-workers. E
10% - EVENT PROMOTION - Promotes events by completing paperwork, requesting publicity, equipment and supplies and by working with departments and organizations/individuals to insure successful events; maintains active communications with public through social media by creating web content and blogs. E
10% - GRANTS - Coordinates and/or writes grant requests to support events and programs. E
5% - BUDGETING - recommends and monitors events budgets under the oversight of the Public Information Manager. E
5% - OTHER DUTIES – Assists Public Information Manager with other duties as assigned in order to ensure the smooth operation of the department. N
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Two years related experience
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Personal vehicle
Able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently (preferred)
