Job Description
Jefferson County Public Library is seeking a full-time Operations Page. In addition to performing the duties of a Page, the Operations Page works directly with Pages by setting daily priorities and initiating best practices. This position delivers a high level of customer service, creates a positive and inviting atmosphere for all patrons, works directly with staff and volunteers, and through a variety of duties keeps the library collection in order. Essential Duties
- Trains and works collaboratively with Pages.
- Assists Operations Supervisor with scheduling.
- Oversees the daily work of volunteers.
- Provides exceptional customer service by being welcoming and friendly.
- Assists patrons by answering questions and locating materials.
- Helps patrons at the self-check and book return.
- Sorts, shelves, and organizes materials.
- Maintains displays so they are visually appealing.
- Troubleshoots equipment to ensure it operates correctly.
- Participates in monthly staff meetings and required trainings.
Qualifications
- Four years of high school education or equivalency.
- One year of customer service experience preferred, public library experience a plus.
- Intermediate reading skills as required for the position.
- Basic computer and technical skills as required for the position.
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, stretch, and push book carts in this physical job.

- Attend required trainings.
