Job Description

Serves as the key contributor to advancing the Libraries’ goal of creating spaces and services that promote innovation, collaboration and engagement for students. Cultivates and sustains collaborative relationships with students and teaching faculty; develops workshops, orientation and outreach activities; and leads efforts to assess the impact of Libraries’ instructional programs and learning spaces.

In addition to the responsibilities above:

  • Teach research and information literacy skills to undergraduate students in support of UW’s general education curriculum.
  • Participate in library instructional initiatives, student engagement programs, and outreach activities.
  • Partner with university academic support units and disciplines in support of teaching and learning.
  • Serve as a liaison to one or more departments or colleges
  • Provide support for adoption and development of Open Educational Resources.

Minimum Qualifications

ALA-accredited MLS, MIS, or equivalent

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
