Job Description

EAGLE VALLEY LIBRARY DISTRICT is accepting applications for the position of Local History/Genealogy Librarian at the Eagle Public Library.  This 40 hour benefited position plans, directs and manages all District local history and genealogy services.  The position requires an understanding of the preservation and management of special collections, the ability to do original cataloging of unique materials, ephemera and familiarity with digital archive standards and practices.  Duties also include working in close partnership with the Eagle County Historical Society and other community organizations as well as planning and providing programming related to local history.  An ALA accredited MLIS degree is required and some evening and weekend hours. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.  Pay range is $52,500-$73,500.  An application form may be printed from our website Applications may be dropped off at the library or emailed to Julie VanNatta at Deadline to apply is Friday, May 11, 2018.
