Job Description
The Garfield County Public Library District is seeking a part-time (24 hours per week) Library Assistant to join our talented team at the New Castle Branch Library. This position provides high quality customer service to the public and assists in all areas of public library services, including answering questions by phone, in-person or email; promoting library programs; shelving materials and a variety of other duties. The Library Assistant must be organized, reliable, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to work any hours the library is open. This position is required to work some Saturdays each month and some evenings may be required. A high school diploma or GED is required and previous library experience is preferred. Experience working with youth of all ages is desirable.
