Job Description

Library Specialist

Full-time position at the Peosta Campus.  Maintain and provide oversight for library online databases & resources for the College. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with library experience preferred. Experience with Web Application Programing Languages Such as PHP, ASP, .NET, C#, C, C++, Java, Objective C, Python, Ruby, or Cold Fusion, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript.

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

 

Bachelors Degree with library experience preferred, or an Associate Degree or equivalent with at least three years of library experience, or equivalent.

Experience with Web Application Programing Languages Such as PHP, ASP, .NET, C#, C, C++, Java, Objective C, Python, Ruby, or Cold Fusion, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Ability to learn, use and troubleshoot multiple library computer technologies and proprietary software. Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in an organized manner and establish priorities. Ability to related to internal and external constituents in a service-orientated and professional manner. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrates a commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful interactions with persons of diverse ethnic, cultural, social-economic, or educational backgrounds. This position may include evening and weekend (Saturdays) hours.
