Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries (FVRLibraries) is seeking a Deputy Director to provide oversight for public services, including all library locations through the three key functions of access, engagement and support.
As an organizational leader, the Deputy Director is responsible for ensuring exceptional service, fiscally responsible operations and responsiveness to the needs of residents in FVRLibraries' service area. In partnership with the Executive Director, they support a workplace environment where staff feel valued and share a passion for FVRLibraries' mission, vision, values and strategic goals. As a member of the Administrative Team, they participate in high-level planning and decision making for the whole district, and provide leadership and mentoring to their team. As the head of public services, they manage the core service areas of customers, spaces, technology, collections and programs.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Library Sciences from an ALA accredited program
- Minimum of seven years of related work experience required, nine years of related work experience preferred.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory and people or project management experience required, five years of supervisory and people or project management experience preferred.
- Library leadership and management experience required.
