The major responsibilities as follows:
- Planning and directing all phases of library operations: financial, personnel, facilities, and business for the Library District with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers
- Assisting the Board of Trustees in the development of policies, providing overall direction for the District
- Working closely with the Board, Larimer County, and elected county and municipal officials
- Understanding and contributing to Northern Colorado’s community, culture, lifestyles, and interests focusing on active civic engagement and promoting external partnerships
- Understanding and supporting innovative library technologies
- Working with new capital projects
- Mentoring, developing, and evaluating staff
