Job Description
The Project Archivist will work closely with staff to complete funded archival processing, cataloging, and digitization projects. These processing projects include: arranging archival collections; rehousing materials in archival-quality materials; creating and updating catalog entries in the Center’s PastPerfect collections database; and digitizing delicate archival materials using a photo-documentation workstation. Additionally, all Center staff members assist in the management of day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Old Washington County Jail.

Additional Info & Requirements
This position requires a detail-oriented candidate with a passion for preserving local history collections. The successful candidate will have experience (paid or volunteer) in an archive, library, or museum. Coursework or degree in Library Science, knowledge of archival management theory and best practices, and experience cataloging collections is required. The successful candidate will possess a “can-do” attitude, collaborative working style, and excellent time management. This position also requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
