As the Town’s new Outreach Librarian you will report directly to the Library Manager to collaborate with Librarians on various programs and events. In this position you will: • Manage library social media accounts and website. Develop and schedule social media campaigns, including creating original content. • Provide equitable delivery of library services to underserved populations. Identify opportunities for public interaction through innovative experiences, collaborate with community organizations, and cultivate community partnerships. • Oversee our Books on Wheels homebound delivery program, including program volunteers. Act as liaison for the Talking Books program. • Assist patrons with library needs. Work public service desks and other duties as assigned. 

Need to have/be: • Master’s degree in Library Science, and two years professional experience in a public library. • Experienced in various technologies such as social media platforms, Wix, Canva, SirsiDynix Workflows, Aspen Discovery. • Marketing, public relations, and/or communications experience. • Collaborative by nature, emotionally intelligent with the ability to build and maintain effective work relationships. The ideal candidate will be passionate to serve others, outgoing, and has a good sense of humor. • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support library operational hours seven-days a week.
