Job Description
The Oshkosh Public Library is seeking a full-time children’s librarian whose talents, knowledge and customer service skills can bring our services to the next level. Interest and experience creating and supporting STEM programming for children and families is highly desirable, as is a penchant for learning and utilizing new digital platforms for programs and services. We would like to hear from candidates who embrace change while focusing on evolving community needs. This individual will possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills as a member of the library-wide Program Team and with co-workers in general. They enjoy building relationships with families and assessing their needs while providing services both inside and outside the library. Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited institution. Recent graduates from an ALA-accredited master’s degree program are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time position that includes evening and weekend hours. Benefits include medical and life insurance as well as Wisconsin Retirement System participation, vacation, sick leave and paid holidays.

Oshkosh Public Library provides a full range of services to 82,000 area residents from a historically significant building. Oshkosh is situated in east-central Wisconsin, on the western shore of Lake Winnebago.
