Key Responsibilities
Siouxland Libraries is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and skilled librarian to utilize contemporary technologies to organize and manage the library’s digital services. This person leads the efforts of maintaining, designing, promoting and continuously improving Siouxland Libraries’ website and social media services. The Librarian works collaboratively with library staff, City of Sioux Falls web team and Communications staff to develop and implement marketing and branding for Siouxland Libraries in support of the library’s mission, goals, and initiatives. The position supervises library associates, works limited public service, and provides exceptional customer service.
Qualification Standards
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of library experience and demonstrated areas of progressive responsibility; or any such combination of education, experience, or training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in library science is desirable. Must be willing to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays as required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is desired. |
