The Duluth Public Library has a unique opportunity for an experienced librarian who is ready to pursue a higher level leadership role. DPL is hiring a Librarian II for its Adult Services team.
This position is responsible for coordinating the service points for Adult Services, which includes scheduling 11 staff for public desks in Reference and the Computer Center. The Librarian II serves as the person in charge for the work area when the Supervisor is unavailable. If you are passionate about serving a diverse group of patrons from all backgrounds, working with a staff who is dedicated to the mission of the public library, and embracing change as DPL seeks to improve its services, read on.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Librarian with a Master’s degree in Library Science and 2 or more years professional experience in a public library setting
- Skilled communicator who can instill trust and help lead staff through change
- Experienced project manager who can lead projects and coordinate the work of others
- Dedicated provider of customer service
