Deputy Director – Customer Service & Continuous Improvement
Arlington Heights Memorial Library (Chicago area)
The Arlington Heights Memorial Library seeks a multi-faceted leader to serve as Deputy Director. The successful individual will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for all aspects of customer service. This role includes developing plans and implementing strategies that focus on the continuous improvement of all public library services. The position requires a creative yet analytical person who enjoys engaging with people and imagining the possibilities of how AHML can best serve the community through its collections, programs, and services. A priority of this role is to nurture an inclusive culture that welcomes the voices and perspectives of all community members.
The library serves about 75,000 residents of the Village of Arlington Heights, a northwest suburb of Chicago. AHML is one of the busiest single-building libraries in the nation and an anchor of the village’s vibrant downtown district.
Salary $87,300 to $109,000/year, negotiable based on experience. AHML participates in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
