Executive Director, Vernon Area Public Library District (Suburban Chicago)
The Board of Trustees of the Vernon Area Public Library District in Lincolnshire, Illinois seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Executive Director. The library is renowned for its friendly staff, supportive board of trustees, and the high level of service it provides to its diverse community.
The library serves about 42,000 people who live in the Village of Lincolnshire or in parts of several neighboring communities. Lincolnshire is located in Lake County, Illinois, about 30 miles north of Chicago’s Loop in a region known for its top-rated schools, strong business base, and excellent quality of life. Residents enjoy all the amenities of suburban life plus easy access to the Chicago metro region.
This opportunity is available due to the retirement of the current Executive Director.
Salary $113,300 - $170,000/year, negotiable based on experience.
