The Maine State Library is seeking a director to lead the Library Development Division. The primary focus of the Public Service Manager II: Director of Library Development, is to administer statewide programs, and to directly manage and oversee operating, support and administrative functions of the Library Development Division of the Maine State Library. The Director of Library Development implements program policies and initiatives in support of the Maine State Library’s goals and objectives and is a member of the Maine State Library’s senior management team. Supervision is exercised over a variety of personnel and work is performed under the direction of the State Librarian. The impact of the programs managed by this position has a significant impact on the overall mission of the Maine State Library.

A twelve (12) year combination of education, training, and/or professional experience in library services or closely related field which demonstrates competence in fiscal management, policy development, and program management.
