Job Description
The Presque Isle Community Library Board of Trustees is accepting applications for the Library Director position. We are looking for a driven, creative, and dedicated person who has excellent interpersonal skills. The library director is responsible for helping the board with long range planning, managing the collection, overseeing building facilities, executing a variety of programs for adults and children, and running administrative operations of the library.
The ideal candidate would continue offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the library and have library experience. Ability to build strong working relationships in the community, a desire to serve the public and provide excellent customer service, and a working knowledge of library trends and technology with the ability to assist patrons on various electronic devices. This is a full time competitive salaried position offering excellent benefits including health insurance, sick pay, holidays, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
This position requires working daytime and some evening hours as well as Saturdays.
Minimum Qualifications: Grade 3 Wisconsin Public Library Certification or 54 hours of college semester credits with the ability to acquire a Grade 3 certification within 4 years.
Desired Experience: Public Library experience is preferred although other related library experience will be considered.
