Job Description
The Pawtucket Public Library is looking for a Children's Librarian who has a strong service oriented philosophy to work in a busy public library that serves a multi-ethnic community.
Duties include but not limited to:
Providing reference and reader's advisory service
Participates in the development of the library's collection
Plan, presents and publicizes children's programs
Minimum Requirements: A Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited institution and course work in library services to children. Applicants must have knowledge of current technology used in a Children's Library.
Starting salary: $28.88 per hours to start, salary range $548.89 to $594.25 within one year.
Benefits include: vacation, sick leave, and city holidays
Hours: 19 hours Preferred schedule - Monday 9am - 1pm, Tuesday 5pm - 9pm, Wednesday 9am - 1pm, and alternate Friday/Saturday 9am -5pm.
