Job Description
Successful community programming is one of the pillars of library service. In collaboration with Truro Library staff, you will be responsible for taking the lead in coordinating, planning, and executing programming that is educational, entertaining, and enriching for all ages.
• You plan and execute programs, presentations, workshops, and participatory experiences for patrons of all ages.
• You are comfortable coordinating a wide range of program from panel discussions to arts and crafts.
• You work collaboratively with other members of the Truro Library staff to generate outreach efforts.
• You cultivate relationships with community members and organizations to garner feedback, and potential partnerships.
• You seek outside sources of funding to sustain our high level of programming.
• You provide friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful library services to our patrons while working the public desk.
The Community
The town of Truro is located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. We are a small staff and we serve 2,000 patrons in the dead of winter to 20,000 in high tourist season. All library staff work collaboratively in a fun environment.
