Job Description

The City of Littleton has an exciting opportunity for a part-time ESL Instructor in the LIRC (Littleton Immigrant Resource Center) Program at the Bemis Library. 

This position serves as an instructor in the ESL program to help non-native English-speaking adults with learning and improving their English.  This part-time position will work closely with the Education Program Coordinator to deliver an effective ESL program for the Littleton Immigrant Resource Center.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching adult learners English and helping them integrate into the community.  The ideal candidate will have a history of teaching adults and will bring creative ideas to the position.  This position offers a unique opportunity to teach ESL in a library setting, with full access to all the books, people, and programming that Bemis Library offers.

Starting pay at or near $27.77/hour. 

This part-time position will work 12 hours per week and is not benefits eligible.

This part-time position is non-exempt per FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.

Work Schedule: 

  • Typical work week: Mon-Thurs 9am-12pm 
  • Hours/week: 12
  • This position will teach primarily on site.  Online classes will be conducted but will be facilitated on location at the Littleton Immigrant Resource Center, located in Bemis Library.
