The Whatcom County Library System is accepting applications for a Full-time Library Branch Manager position that will oversee both the Everson and Sumas Libraries. *This job opportunity does not represent a new position, but rather a replacement position at WCLS.* The Branch Manager directs all branch operations and assists patrons by providing reference and reader’s advisory services and community referrals. The essential functions of this position include overseeing public services, supervision of branch staff, community outreach, branch operations, branch administration and promoting WCLS core values among staff and the public. Requires the ability to speak and understand English. Average of forty (40) regular weekly hours. Salary starts at $69,918. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years’ relevant experience; including knowledge of reference and reader’s advisory services, strong supervisory skills with demonstrated ability to create a positive work environment for staff, and evidence of successful experience with community partnerships. Equivalent knowledge, skills, training, education or experience will be considered. Full-time exempt position, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
