Job Description

The  Eugene Public Library is looking for an energetic, creative, and adventurous person to lead our Outreach Services and Maker Department!

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines are essential in our busy and fast-paced system. In this position, you will be responsible to oversee the development, implementation, and daily operations of Outreach Services and Maker Department. We are looking for a leader who exemplifies -

Collaboration: Ability to build healthy relationships with all stakeholders, City of Eugene colleagues, and community partners in support of the community’s growth and development. Exceptional at engaging marginalized communities, effective at working across cultures, proficient at facilitation and planning.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in public forums and one-on-one, with a variety of audiences. Ability to use centralized software platforms for timekeeping, budgeting, and scheduling.  

Customer Service: Model and encourage delivery of service in a way that reflects the City of Eugene's values of equity, professionalism, integrity and trust.

Solution-Based Thinking: Ability to anticipate issues, assess problems and take appropriate action in ways that strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
