Job Description

Join our Team: Evidence Synthesis Librarian, Colorado State University

Colorado State University Libraries is seeking a collaborative, creative, user-centered educator for the new position of Evidence Synthesis Librarian. Working with colleagues in the Research Support and Community Engagement Unit, they will create opportunities for university researchers, educators, and clinicians to increase their knowledge and skills in evidence synthesis, including developing workshops and training, collaborating with faculty to support information literacy instruction, and providing in-depth information consultations. The Evidence Synthesis Librarian will serve as a campus resource for systematic reviews and provide guidelines-based support and consultations for systematic/scoping reviews and meta-analysis projects across a variety of disciplines. They will also provide research support to the university community in the areas of biomedical and health sciences, including veterinary medicine.


Required Job Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent or PhD or terminal degree in the sciences or social sciences
  • Demonstrated ability to explain and/or teach complex ideas in a clear manner to audiences from diverse backgrounds and contexts
  • Familiarity with standards and protocols for systematic reviews
  • Familiarity with information resources in the biomedical or health sciences
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice and how they relate to the mission of the CSU Libraries
