As our Library Security Assistant, you will be responsible for the safety and security of everyone on library property, including staff, collections, and customers. You will create a welcoming environment for the whole community in alignment with our library use policy. Daily duties include patrolling the entire building throughout the day. You will be responsible for opening the building and securing the building at closing. You will also work on our circulation team, creating positive experiences for library customers by checking out and returning books, registering customers for library cards, placing holds, ordering books and other library materials from other agencies, responding to customer questions and issues about circulation matters, and assisting with technology.
