Job Description
The Lincoln Public Library is seeking a librarian who enjoys working with children and their families to provide exceptional customer service in a part-time capacity in our very active library. Duties include implementing programs for children and babies, assisting and instructing children in the use of library services and resources, providing reference assistance, reader advisory, shelving material, and assisting with collection development.
Approximately 9-16.5 hours per week. Schedule includes Monday and Tuesday mornings, every other Friday and an occasional Saturday 9-5. The Library is closed Saturdays during July and August. An ALA-accredited M.L.S. preferred, but candidates currently working toward their M.L.S. with previous experience working in a public library will be considered. Pay rate for M.L.S. is $23 an hour
