The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus’ Strauss Health Sciences Library (Strauss Library) seeks a Special Collections Librarian to manage the Strauss-Wisneski Indigenous & Integrative Health Collection, an endowed collection focused on complementary health practices from around the world, as well as supporting other library special collections. This position is non-tenure track faculty and promotion eligible. The individual hired into this position will be required to provide in-person services though we offer flexible work arrangements including hybrid/remote opportunities. The position reports to the Head of Collection Management.

Responsibilities of the Special Collections Librarian include:

·      Managing the special collection endowed budget of approximately $40,000 annually to create an inclusive and diverse collection.

·      Developing strategies for collection assessment and development policy.

·      Cultivating partnerships and collaborating with library committees and university entities.

Required qualifications:

·      Master’s degree from an American Library Association-accredited library school or international equivalent.

·      Minimum two years’ experience in a library or other related experience (e.g., experience in a museum).

Salary range (faculty rank will be based on years of experience):

·      Senior Instructor (2-5 years): $70,000-$77,000

·      Assistant Professor (5+ years): $77,000-$83,000

The individual hired into this position will be required to provide in-person services though we offer flexible work arrangements including hybrid/remote opportunities.
