Job Description
The Archives Assistant will contribute to processing and description of the physical collections within the University Archives and Special Collections. This position, in consultation with the Digital Initiatives & Archives Librarian, will process and rehouse physical collections, research the historical context of collections, produce catalog records and finding aids, contribute to preservation and conservation efforts.

Additional Info & Requirements
Essential:
Assist with the overall inventory and organization of all archives and special collections using the content management system.
Conduct archival processing: arrangement, description, finding aid creation, preservation, and re-housing for collections in multiple formats.
Participates in the direction of student employees.
Assists with research and reference requests related to physical archives.
Other:
Performs other duties as assigned which may include but is not limited to engaging in library committee work and/or duties in support of the Regis mission.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Preferred:
Experience in a library, special collections, or archival setting.
Some supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution of higher education
Ability to communicate collegially and to contribute constructively within a team setting.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be exceptionally service oriented.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Minimum of one year of experience in a related environment.
