Job Description

The Boyden Library is looking to hire a Full-Time Librarian (35 hours per week) with previous/current experience working within a public library setting. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises the Children’s Services Department, (Circulation, Reference, Technical services, and Programming functions)
  • Organizes work schedule for Children’s Services Staff
  • Oversees budget for Children’s Services Department
  • Coordinates and oversees collection development and acquisition
  • Interviews, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff in the Children’s Service Department

Education & Experience:

• Master's Library Science or equivalent library degree from an ALA-accredited institution

• Minimum of two years of public library experience

• Experience with automated library systems and personal computers

• Supervisory, management, communication, and budgeting skills
