Job Description
The Page Coordinator supervises 30+ hourly employees (pages) who shelve and check in our collection. We are looking for an individual who will: *hire, coach, schedule, train, and evaluate the pages *drive the production of the paging unit *exhibit superlative customer service while working the circulation desk. The successful candidate will be a leader who is capable of finding new solutions to workflow management without an increase in staff and is able to develop a teamwork environment that inspires employees to creatively manage workflow, work autonomously, and be progressive thinkers. In addition, this individual will work in concert with the other supervisors to contribute to the overall goals of Stanley Lake.Additional Info & Requirements
Currently closed for remodeling, when the library reopens March 21, 2009 patrons and staff will enjoy a completely renovated building with modern touch-screen self check stations, upgraded meeting room and study room facilities, many additional public access computers and 135,000 items on the shelves. The Standley Lake library will have Jefferson County's first family computer room, early literacy computers for children and personal device charging stations for cell phones and iPods.The Community
The City of Arvada is home to excellent elementary, middle, and high schools as well as several charter and private schools with a variety of curricula. The city offers its residents many open spaces and parks with clear views of the nearby Rocky Mountains. The city's Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities includes a year-round theater, extensive art gallery, and classes for all ages.
