Job Description
No two days are alike. Some days, you read stories to children of all ages. You might lead a craft project as part of a Story Time. Other days, you may direct older children in a STEM activity. You love to plan programs for library patrons of all ages. Gardening? Photography? Hummingbirds? Movie nights? Whatever the community likes and needs, you’re up to the challenge. You also get to represent the Library District at special events, like Christmas tree lighting, harvest festivals and rodeos. Marketing and outreach are key elements of your job: you create promotional materials and grow friendly relationships all around Elbert County. Oh, and we’ll also train you to work at the libraries’ service desks, so sometimes you can see all the wonderful things our patrons check out.
Benefits & Additional Compensation Info
Benefits include a pension plan (except for PERA retirees), health insurance, dental and vision insurance, vacation, sick/personal leave, public health emergency leave, paid holidays.
