Job Description
Dayton Memorial Library at Regis University is looking to hire a current graduate library science student or recent graduate w/ an MLIS to serve as a Research & Instruction Librarian intern. This is a part-time (20 hr/wk) temporary, six-month, paid position in the library's Research & Instruction department with an emphasis on the delivery of research help services in multiple modalities (chat, email, phone, and in-person) and library/information literacy instruction. The intern will help staff the research help service point assisting undergraduate and graduate students from Regis and other member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU). The intern will also have opportunities to create, update, and manage instructional materials used by the department and assist as needed with online and classroom-based library instruction across the three colleges of the university. Working with the Research & Instruction department's Intern Coordinator, additional duties and responsibilities that speak to the professional and scholarly interests of the intern may be identified and incorporated in to the position, with opportunities for cross training in other library departments a possibility.
