Job Description
The Davisville Free Library is seeking a part-time Library Associate. Duties will include providing reference service to the public, staffing the circulation desk, instructing patrons in the use of technology, opening and/or closing the library, managing volunteers/pages, assisting with programming, and other tasks as assigned. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of library management.
Will include some Saturday and evening hours. Hourly rate is $17/hr.
Qualified candidates should have:
Ability to work effectively with staff and the public in a professional manner
Ability and willingness to be flexible
Ability to lift and move materials and furniture and to go up/down a flight of stairs, as necessary
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, typing, web browsers
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree and experience in a public library.
