Job Description
Reporting to the Dean of University Library Services, the Collection Strategies Librarian provides strategic direction, oversight, and outreach for the library's monographic collections, including print books, e-books, and media collections in support of the University curriculum and the library's strategic plan. The Collection Strategies Librarian is responsible for conducting assessment and analyzing data in order to make informed decisions regarding the life cycle of the specified collections and provides leadership to support open access initiatives that create more equitable and open scholarly communication. The Collection Strategies Librarian shares in liaison responsibilities, including faculty outreach, student and faculty research consultations, library instruction, and selection of library materials in designated areas. The Collection Strategies Librarian works closely with the Electronic Resources Librarian to manage the library's collections and serves as a member of the Research, Scholarly Communication, and User Experience Team. As a tenure-track faculty member, the librarian must demonstrate professional competence and program development, scholarship, and service.
