Job Description

Want to build your skills while working in a collegial, intellectually stimulating environment? The workshop coordinator is a part-time position and serves as a critical member of the University of Oregon's Data Services Department and of the Oregon Data Science Collaborative. The incumbent will lead outreach, marketing, and workshop logistics across these two institutional units, seeking out opportunities for synergies and coordination. This position will also support workshop preparation and teaching, and through that work will have the opportunity to receive mentorship from workshop leaders to develop or improve skills in teaching and in specific technologies, such as introductory R, Python, or the command line. Since this is a temporary position, we are committed to helping you leave this position better prepared to reach your long-term career goals. This position is half-time (0.5 FTE) and limited duration of 1 year.
