Job Description
Under the general direction of the E-Resource Licensing and Administrative Manager, this position provides support for the licensing of e-resources and other administrative duties for the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries. Licensing activities may include new offers, renewals, and library support for these activities as needed. The applicant will also be involved with some accounting and other administrative duties as needed including entering data into the ERMS (electronic resource management system), communicating with vendors and librarians, and participation in other consortial activities as needed. This is a hybrid position with some in-office and work from home opportunities. Some of the duties could include:
· New offers for e-resources
· Renewals for e-resources
· Invoicing member libraries for completed contracts
· Invoicing libraries that are licensing Alliance software or services such as Gold Rush or Prospector
· Working with the in-house ERMS
· Working with accounting software
· Copying and filing paperwork
· Assist in the preparation for meetings and conferences
· Taking and preparing meeting minutes
· Ordering and maintaining supplies
· Word processing
· Spreadsheets
· Website updating
· Phone support
· Calendar support
· General office support
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Benefits & Additional Compensation Info
This half time position will include benefits for retirement (TIAA) and health insurance. Additional details will be provided during the interview. This presumes the candidate works at least 20 hours per week.
Additional Info & Requirements
Experience: Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Outlook, or similar email/calendaring system. Experience in library e-resource licensing and/or accounting software is preferred although promising candidates without direct experience will be considered (particularly for new MLS graduates or those in an MLS program).
Other Qualifications: Ability to work on a variety of projects. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and oral communication skills, friendly, reliable, work independently, and handle multiple tasks. Although library experience is not required having some experience in libraries is helpful.
