Job Description
The Youth Programming Librarian I located at the Headquarters branch in the Programming Division is responsible for assuring high customer and employee satisfaction with all assigned aspects of Youth Programming in accordance with current Library policies and procedures, in cooperation with Library departments and other organizations in support of the library mission and vision. This position works with the Division Manager for Programs to ensure that all programming meets the educational and entertainment needs of youth of all ages, parents, and caregivers.
• Develops, designs, and implements innovative youth programming, presentations, workshops, and participatory experiences for youth of all ages that engages the community in life-long learning
• Coordinates programs on a wide variety of topics, such as arts/crafts, STEM, current events, and beyond
• Participates in the planning, promotion, and execution of the annual Youth Summer Reading Program
• Pursues and maintains good working relationships with organizations in the community and participates in community outreach activities and programs
• Collects and reports statistics and stories around youth programming/outreach efforts to determine impact on the community
• Creates brochures and bibliographies on library resources

Additional Info & Requirements
Selected applicant must have access to transportation and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record at the time of hire.
