Job Description

The Office of Library and Information Services is seeking a librarian to join our team as Resource Sharing Coordinator. This position works in the area of network services, and is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting resource sharing activities among libraries statewide, including coordinating the statewide delivery and interlibrary loan systems.

Position Function Duties

Duties include performing complex responsibilities in the planning, development, and implementation of resource sharing on a statewide basis, including coordinating the statewide delivery and interlibrary loan systems; participating in the development and maintenance of online applications and content management systems related to resource sharing; planning and implementing training on resource sharing and related topics; and to assist in the planning, development and implementation of program policies, procedures and standards.

Other duties include performing complex professional duties in the delivery of library, information and consultant services on a statewide basis especially in the area of network services and online content delivery; to assist in the planning and development of program policies, procedures and standards; to research national trends and current developments in public library service for local application; and to do related work as required.

The ideal candidate will have experience with interlibrary loan and library resource sharing functions; familiarity with integrated library systems and cataloging; knowledge of evaluation methodology, data analysis and visualization; basic knowledge of PHP, Python, and/or SQL, and familiarity with Drupal; and strong communication and presentation skills, including oral, written and digital.
