The Louisville Public Library seeks an experienced, enthusiastic, committed, customer service oriented library professional to supervise our Circulation Services Division. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to inclusive, welcoming patron service and will share our vision to engage community, champion literacy, and spark imagination and learning.
This position leads a team of frontline paraprofessional staff and pages in serving a supportive community of library users. We are seeking a candidate with solid supervisory experience in a library setting and an unwavering commitment to patron-first service, who thrives in a collaborative environment. Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Cultural Services Director, provides strategic leadership to, and oversees the daily operations of, the Circulation Services team. Leads the team in providing welcoming, helpful and respectful Library service. Sets a positive tone and empowers staff to make decisions that efficiently and collaboratively resolve patron issues. Exercises leadership, independent judgment, and sound decision-making within established library policy. Performs other work as required.
