This position provides critical services primarily at the circulation desk, while offering competitive pay and a variety of activities. Duties include assisting customers with checking materials in and out on the library’s computerized circulation system, answering the telephone, and responding to inquiries about library services. The person selected for this position will also empty the inside and outside book drop carts, fill library lockers, move items on book carts, and shelve materials. The ability to perform all tasks on the library’s automated system is required.
Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree or two-year technical certificate, and at least one year of customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College-level coursework and previous library experience is desired.
The Library Aide position offers a pay range of $18.85-$23.49 per hour. This 24 hour per week position requires the person accepting the position to work evening hours and Saturdays.
