Job Description

Join Our Team: E-Resource Access Specialist, Colorado State University

CSU Libraries seeks a highly collaborative individual as an E-Resource Access Specialist. The individual in this position will be a valuable member of the Acquisitions and Metadata Services unit.  This position manages access to electronic journals, databases, and other electronic resources handled by the unit. It is the first point of contact for troubleshooting to members of the CSU community using electronic resources, evaluating current practices, developing new processes as needed, and collaborating with other employees in the Libraries to ensure continuous support for electronic resource access systems 

Required Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) plus three years of progressively responsible experience working with information or data management systems.
  • Successful completion of a formalized library and information science program or higher-level course work from an accredited higher-education institution appropriate to the work assignment may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with technical data associated with access systems for online journals, online databases, and other online resources.

Acquisitions and Metadata Services manages the acquisition of all electronic resources, print serials and standing orders, and provides the users of CSU Libraries with accurate records of these holdings in the online catalog. Additionally, this work unit acquires,processes, and maintains depository and non-depository Federal and Colorado government publications in all formats, including e-books and maps.
